There are several reasons we have moved away from time sheets. The first being we want to be transparent in our pricing to our clients, so you know exactly what you are going to pay up front. No one likes a surprise bill at the end of an engagement. We also want to encourage dialogue with our clients, which is why we include unlimited phone calls and emails in all of our packages. Billing based off of time encourages CPAs to go slower and be less efficient in order to drive a bill up. We want to promote efficiency and productivity in our firm.

We’ve also found that our employees are more content when not having to keep track of time. They don’t have to worry about hitting time goals and can focus on getting their work done accurately.
